cloud atlas

elissa recommended this one to me. its intersecting and interlocking stories was beautifully done but what i loved most was the ending with its emphasis on the world being what you make it. while the book doesn't seem to hold much hope for people actually making a world worth living in, i think there is the possibility and that's what makes life worthwhile.

  1. i have no idea what you're talking about, so i probably won't read the book... but i did want to tell you that when i first saw this i thought you had picked up the hobby of cloud deciphering, in which case I was going to be especially pumped. Because when you, little lady, decide to do something it gets done--stellarly--yes, it's a word...now... and we all know my intense love for clouds--you were going to be my guru. turns out it's a novel... oh well. i'll still claim you. ;) love.
